There's One Sport Where Being A Short Guy Is Actually An Advantage
This week we had Austin Dillon on Redline Radio ahead of the Camping World 400 at Chicagoland Speedway. I was trying to break his balls about being a short guy, listed at 5’8 mostly because I like to give WSD shit about being short. He didn’t get that I was joking and answered the question “is being short an advantage for a driver” VERY seriously and started talking about this wreck at Daytona in 2015. Which, after you watch it, is the like the scariest looking crash imaginable. He describes this in great detail during the wreck and said that if he were 6ft tall that he most definitely would’ve lost his legs. That interview is worth listening to even if you’re not a race fan. Start it up at 1:11:01 mark. Austin Dillon is now my dude. Short guy, with both his legs intact.
